Massage Therapy

As Registered Massage Therapists, we use our education in anatomy and physiology to apply traditional Swedish and modern massage therapy techniques to provide treatment in a patient-focused approach. This is a holistic approach to health care, to consider the inter connectedness of the body, mind and spirit.
Here at Airmed Kirsten will incorporate other complementary therapies such as cupping, massage and moxibustion.


Massage Therapy with Cupping

Cupping is an ancient technique of healing from Traditional Chinese Medicine that uses western scientific approaches. Massage Therapists can perform the techniques of cupping within their scope of practice to promote blood circulation and decrease muscle and fascial tension. Benefits include relief from pain, promote relaxation and healing after injury and decreases in muscle and fascial tension.


Manual Lymph Drainage

Manual lymph drainage is a gentle, non-invasive manual technique that encourages lymph flow from the tissues to the lymph nodes. MLD is used to ease swelling and relieve discomfort, specifically post-injury and during pregnancy. Treatment can be 45 or 60 minutes, and can be a full body treatment or focus on a specific area of concern.


Prenatal Massage Therapy

A treatment for mothers-to-be and new parents focusing on pregnancy issues of the body and mind. Treatment goals include relaxation, reducing muscular tension and joint pain. Enjoy a tailored treatment to your specific needs with a focus on positioning and comfort for the body as it changes.

Melissa has been an RMT since 2012, in good standing with College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and continues to love her career!

She has worked in a variety of settings and has found her niche to be in a clinical setting such as Airmed. Melissa is an adaptable therapist who can provide treatments ranging from relaxation to rehabilitation.

Her greatest sense of accomplishment comes from seeing patients feel relief from pain and discomfort. Melissa also has experience working with patients who suffer from neurological disorders such as Bell’s Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy Cerebral Palsy, and stroke survivors.

Baylea is a graduate of the Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy and is in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Bayleas’ interest in massage as a health care profession began when an injury led her to begin researching anatomy and body mechanics. Caitlin’s background in athletics lead her to pursue a career in Massage Therapy and believes in a truly client-focused experience. She loves working with people, teaching them about their anatomy and helping clients achieve their goals.

Caitlin is a 2008 graduate of Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, where is also instructed from 2016 - 2020. She is in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and is certified in pregnancy, infant, deep tissue, myofascial release and sports massage.

Dayna’s warm and lighthearted personality will instantly put you at ease. Her approach to massage therapy centres on trust and collaboration with the goal of creating individualized care for her patients. Outside the clinic, you’ll probably find her on the hunt for her new favourite restaurant, training in Brazilian jujitsu or attending and a life drawing class.
